Wall Construction (Fall 2002)
The existing wall (constructed from the same concrete units) fell victim
to the winter thaw three years ago. Even though it was only about 24"
high, it buckled and fell due to drainage problems. I saved these units
and added more from the rear patio wall which I had replaced in 2001.
I relocated the base of the wall to increase driveway space by approximately
24".
General
work included excavation, gravel footing installation, unit wall construction,
and drain installation.
