Basement Remodeling

Phase 1 - Entertainment Room (Fall 2001 - Spring 2002)
This section of the basement is 12'-0" x 14'-0". It was an unfinished area with exposed foundation walls and bare concrete floor.

General work included framing, insulating, drywall application, and painting. Electrical work included recessed light installation (4), receptacle installation (7), CATV/Cable Modem outlets (3), and phone outlets (3). All work with exception of the carpet installation was done by me.

Phase 2 is planned to begin Fall 2002 and will include a new Bath & Laundry.

The photos shown below represent various stages of work up to completion:

Basement Phase II

The rough-in stage is complete. All framing and electrical work is in place. CATV and phone outlets were installed. A vapor barrier was used against exterior masonry walls.
All walls and ceilings were insulated with R-13 and the bulkhead was insulated with sheet foam. Some drywall hanging is complete.
Drywall finishing work is nearly complete.

Here is the completed Entertainment Room, furnished and ready for use! This was a much needed improvement to a house with a growing family.
